Privacy Policy

Salon is a business app for independent hairstylists, run by [operator name or company]. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: your data is used to run the app for you, and it's never sold or used for advertising.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email they share with us.
• Your profile. Your name and business settings such as booth rent, card fee rate, and commission.
• What you log. Visits, services, prices, payment methods, expenses, inventory, receipts, and notes.
• Client information you enter. Names, phone numbers, notes, color formulas, and photos.
• Photos. Pictures you add to visits, receipts, or inventory scans.
• Support messages. What you send from Help & Support, along with your email, app version, and device platform.

Salon has no analytics or advertising tools, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites, so browser Do Not Track settings don't change anything.

How we use it

Only to run Salon for you: to calculate your numbers, sync your data between devices, restore it on a new phone, identify products in inventory and receipt photos, and answer your support messages.

Where it's stored

Your data is saved on your phone first, then synced to your account so it's backed up. It's encrypted in transit and at rest. Reminders such as low-stock alerts are scheduled on your phone.

Services that process your data

• Supabase hosts your account, synced data, and photos.
• Google Gemini reads the inventory and receipt photos you choose to scan, to identify products and prices.
• Apple and Google handle sign-in if you choose them.
• Cloudflare delivers sign-in links and this website.

We don't sell or share your information with anyone else. We release it only when legally required, such as by a court order.

Your clients' information

You decide what client information goes into Salon, and you're responsible for having your clients' permission to keep it. We process it only to provide the app to you.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. Reset profile in Account clears your visits, client notes, expenses, and inventory on every device. Delete account permanently erases your account, data, and photos. Deleting the app alone doesn't. Sync records of deleted items are removed within 90 days.

Your choices

You can view and edit everything you've logged in the app. [How to export your data from the app] For anything else about your privacy, email support@alecstanton.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above, and we'll let you know in the app before a significant change takes effect.
